User visual calibration — provisional best visual fit: Esri imagery moved 3.356 m west, 1.854 m north. GPS coordinates and timing are unchanged; this is a subjective display alignment. Fitted on 2026-09-04/a_0002 against these same tiles and carried over unchanged, not refitted for this session.

Same-source spatial-gate composite

12 sections from 10 laps, each cut at shared physical gates and owned by the lap that was fastest through it. Lisboa V3, 8 September 2026.

Shared gates remove forward and backward jumps at section joins; lateral jumps and speed changes remain. Recorded times give 43.189 s, replacing the old 43.118 s distance-based benchmark. This composite was never driven as one lap.

The composite lap on the circuit

Absolute registration is unverified. Raw GPS positions are shown without shifting or warping. Imagery resolution (0.23 m/pixel) is not positional accuracy; GPS bias and imagery registration can both displace the overlay. An apparent asphalt crossing alone does not establish an excursion. Orange rings mark changes of source lap, including joins with similar speeds. Displayed fragment endpoints differ by up to 1.958 m; no connecting path is implied.

Select a section to compare both laps at its entry and exit.

Boundary speeds are interpolated at the same physical gates; lap numbers in these readouts are logger numbers.

Every section retains its original source lap.

Click any row to zoom the map to that section. Lap numbers are logger numbers. Distance labels locate gates on the reference lap. “Running total” is the composite; the last column is how far ahead of your actual best lap the composite is at that point on the circuit.

Where the pieces do not meet

At each join the outgoing lap left the boundary at one speed and the incoming lap arrived at another. Steps of at least 2 km/h are listed; they are the clearest evidence that the composite is not a physically continuous trajectory.

Boundary and timing method

Each internal gate passes through the fastest lap’s section boundary and is perpendicular to its local direction. Each source lap crosses that same gate. Crossing time, position and speed are interpolated only between adjacent fixes from that lap; every interior fix is retained. No connecting path is drawn between laps.

Start and finish use each source lap’s official recorded timestamps, interpolated within the continuous GPS stream. Unrounded durations are accumulated without stretching time. Each section is owned by the lap fastest through it on these gates.

Raw telemetry is unchanged. Displayed times and differences are independently rounded to milliseconds.
